The Do Dham Yatra is a deeply spiritual pilgrimage connecting the sacred abodes of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu in the Garhwal Himalayas — Kedarnath and Badrinath. Starting from Delhi and passing through the holy town of Haridwar, this journey is an exploration of divine landscapes, ancient temples, and the pristine Himalayan valleys.
Kedarnath: The legendary Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, symbolizing penance and spiritual purification. According to Hindu mythology, after the Mahabharata war, Lord Shiva appeared here as a bull and left his hump, which is worshipped as the Kedarnath Jyotirlinga.
Badrinath: The sacred abode of Lord Vishnu, representing protection, balance, and salvation. Goddess Lakshmi is believed to have taken the form of a Badri tree here to shield Lord Vishnu from the harsh Himalayan winds.
The route takes you through picturesque confluences (Prayags), historic temples, and mythological villages, offering both a spiritual and scenic experience.
